May 10, 2018 FORGIVENESS

πŸ› 🐞 🐜 🐌 πŸ•Έ
There is a big hole -
It is in the heart’s middle.
I have left you out.
πŸ› 🐞 🐜 🐌 πŸ•Έ
You have hurt me deep.
So, with crossing my arms tight –
I hold you far off.

πŸ› 🐞 🐜 🐌 πŸ•Έ
To protect myself –
And also, to punish you
As undeserving.

πŸ› 🐞 🐜 🐌 πŸ•Έ
What am I thinking -
In casting you off from me –
split is created.

πŸ› 🐞 🐜 🐌 πŸ•Έ
Deficient of whole -
Lacking the continuum –
We all suffer deep.

πŸ› 🐞 🐜 🐌 πŸ•Έ
In forgiving you –
I free myself for healing
And we can both fly.

The blue period of Picasso now and again draws me in. The suffering inherent in the pieces created during this time is heart lowing. When I ‘studied’ Picasso back in the day, it was this period that did and still today most draws me to rumination. Was it personal suffering or observation of suffering, separation and isolation in others that drew him in as voyeur to slices of life?
With gratitude for those who through word or image create openings, whereby we can see and then have the opportunity to heal the breaking heart.
