Sitting with you now
I feel your heartโ€™s so sweet song.
Connection forged.

One of the first things I learned in my college physiology class oh so many years ago: A single living cell seeks equilibrium and a portion of that equilibrium requires a level of vulnerability in which the membrane of the cell has a permeability which allows the exchange of materials and information. On the physical level I learned about the exchange of sodium and potassium through the cell membrane, along with the exchange of other material and information. When a cell stops sending and receiving information and material, what occurs is called rigor mortis โ€“ or death.
Humans form reciprocal relationships with their world โ€“ and with the formation of โ€˜relationshipโ€™ the human being can come to a place of comfort and can then be fully alive. It takes vulnerability to create connection. We need to drop our protective walls a bit to let the other into our space (whether physical or emotional).
Life thrives on connection and inclusion.
Death occurs with exclusion.
With gratitude, feeling connection now with my family; two-legged, four-legged, creepy crawlies, winged ones, standing tall ones and swimming through the water ones.

Sky-Father, your solstice sun feeds me โ€“ may I share that food with all.
