With compassion deep
See: angry souls guts wrenching β
From disconnection.

It can be difficult to interact with an angry person. Often logic has flown out the window for those suffering anger and been replaced by vitriol with the sole intent of pouring the acid born of their pain over the heads of all within their reach. They do not want to suffer alone. They hurt so deeply from their disconnection to the whole β they seek to create in those around them deep pain and suffering also.
They seek to create a βshell blast holeβ in the souls of others β so that the βotherβ will also hurt. In a strange way, it seems they are seeking connection. However, they seek a dark connection β a connection with ultimate death in itβs maw.
We as warriors of light are called on to walk in the balance point β the razorβs edge. Do not accept into yourself the anger that is thrown at you or at those you love. However, do not throw the angry person out of your heart. These ones deeply need our love and compassionate care and interaction.
Defend yourself.
Defend the helpless ones they seek to harm.
Yet simultaneously, see with deep compassion the battered and damaged soul of the one who carries anger.
Do back away from interaction, if and when you need respite to recharge through prayer and the quiet solitude of meditation.

With gratitude
for those who fight the valiant battle
for harmony for all the family
of our Great Mother.

Anger is an acid
that can do more harm
to the vessel in which it is stored
than to anything on which it is poured.
MARK TWAIN

βMen in rage strike those that wish them best.β
William Shakespeare, from Othello / act 2- scene 3

βWhateβers begun in anger ends in shame.

I have seen this image many times. I do not know the author of this image. So sweet, the elephant protecting the 4-legged from the pouring rains. In the same way we can perhaps be a conduit to protect the ones with scratching claws and angry yowls. Quietly and peacefully covering them with the protection found in prayer β diminishing the harm to themselves and others.
