Cousins and best buds,
Clean curl, little guys stoked!
Checking out the waves.

What is it that creates an affinity between people? Often you will see a similarity of interests. However, you will often see what appears to be night and day interests manifest in friendships. These cousins Arjun and Kai deeply enjoy and appreciate one another and it has always been that way. On the surface they seem very different. Arjun is quiet and Kai is noisy. Arjun is left brain analytical – he loves taking things apart and putting them back together. When he looks at a bug he is counting legs and naming body parts. Kai is right brain he may not count the number of legs on the insect, but he sees the colors and blending of colors present on the little one’s body. Serious Arjun teaches Kai how to analyze and build. Flying by the seat of his pants, Kai teaches Arjun to take things a bit more lightly and laugh a bit more. They are rather like interlocking puzzle pieces wherein one side pushing out compliments the other side pushing in. In addition, there is commonality of theme running throughout. So, what appears on the surface to be quite different, on closer inspection shows many points of contact. I do not know all the interlocking points of contact between Arjun and Kai. I do see the joyous and respectful friendship they share. As grandmother, holding deep thank you, that they have been given one another to travel through life as friends.
