Is everywhere present.
Here, God will find you.

In the city is easy to become hungry for the color green. In the city you strain to hear the sound of bird call.
In the city you view shining and reflective towers of glass and hear the sound of car horns as they negotiate the streets on their way to work.
Whereas it is a virtue to now and again have space from the press of countless people, cars and buildings – it is an error to think the natural is not here also – if you only have eyes to see and ears to hear. Even here, God is.
On my last morning (for now) in The City of The Angels, I was gifted with a beautiful sunrise testimony to the natural world present everywhere. By reflection, I viewed the glory of sunrise on the city. Ahhhh – there you are, I thought.
Breathing deeply in the beauty and then exhaling and sending out ‘thank you’ to the Creator of worlds and universes.

The full and original name for Los Angeles: "El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de Los Ángeles del Río Porciúncula" (in English, "town of our lady the Queen of Angels of the River Porciúncula"). The shorter version is: "La Ciudad de la Reina de los Angeles" ("The City of the Queen of the Angels"). Then, the nick name by which the city is called is “La Ciudad de Los Angeles” ("The City of Angels").

Paramahansa Yogananda has said (paraphrase)– it is not a mistake that Los Angeles was named the city of the angels and that it is the Benares of the west. Back in the 1970s, I heard this quote numerous times by Lake Shrine ministers. I do not remember the exact quote or the source of the quote beyond being told these words were spoken by Yoganandaji. Does anyone have the exact quote and or the source of this message?
