Walking Prayer

Meander the land
Grassy carpet of new green -
With walking prayer.

By grace of the light
With those who walked before -
Breathing in their prayers

We think we are thinking our thoughts alone. We think, we are sending up prayers alone. However, we are often on a scaffolding built by those who came before. This is part of the power of sacred space.

“Tara Mata, another great disciple of our Guru
one time mentioned to the monks - she was
giving some instruction and she said –
'Remember, When you breathe, you inhale
not only the oxygen – but the thoughts that
are roaming in the ether.’ “
