August 10, 2018 Growing Up Floundering

Growing up nothing
Quite fit. Floundering alone.
Then, the Beloved.

One of the Egyptian hieroglyphs for the body is a symbol of a fish, it’s body arcing into a curve. I have been told, this represents the state of the soul in human form – rather like a fish out of water – flopping about on the shore of creation and out of it’s true element where we swim freely in spirit.

July 24, 2018 Shakespeare's ISABELLA

Confused by body.
Tied in a knot by the mind.
Only heart speaks true.

In the place of the quiet heart, what is true becomes evident. This is not to say the body and the mind can not offer sometimes accurate and helpful information – because they sometimes can. However, they also sometimes lead astray. Know, the heart in repose beats for truth and whispers guidance in your ear if you will but listen.

“Go to your bosom; knock there,
and ask your heart what it doth know.”
William Shakespeare / Measure For Measure / Act 2 Scene 2 / Isabella speaking
