Yesterday was the twins music recital at Old Town Music Hall in El Segundo: Keira on keyboards and Kai on electric guitar. Kids of all ages, from a bit younger than the twins to well into adulthood they came together to share their music.
We humans tend to seek to create and then share beauty. Beautiful sounds, especially those coming from the heart can create an expansion within us. Coming together, creating communal experience. Watching those who took to the stage to play and sometimes to sing, was heart opening. Each one seeking to create, be a part of beauty. Some fearful and some with abandon in their sharing. All who presented seemed to be grateful for the acceptance of loving friends and family. In each one, whether 5 years old or 55 years old, I saw present a bit of the innocence and vulnerability of being in human form. This vulnerability as much as the sounds opened the heart.

My little grands love to sing rock n’ roll - - - they also love to sing Chants of Love to the Creator of worlds and universes. As gramma, I love to listen to them and join in a bit now and again.
