JUNE 1, 2018 Slowing Down

Golden pink curtain.
Warm farewell caress to hills,
Ceding sky to stars.

Whether you are sitting on your own back porch – or on vacation at a lodge in the Swiss Alps – even out walking the dog in the neighborhood as evening approaches …. Those few moments when the sun has just slipped below the horizon and it is now dark enough for the stars to appear … you may find you want to slow down. You probably want to stop and face into the west. You are silent even if just for a moment and you breathe in the beauty and exhale a ‘thank you’.
When the weather is pleasant, it is not unusual for those in my neighborhood to open doors and come outside as evening approaches. Sometimes we gather and talk a bit. . . . and then, at the moment the sun is going behind the Tunnel Hill Road across the canyon and up into the mountain vista / Inspiration Point, we pause. Someone will verbalize how beautiful the sky is to the west. Another will note the beauty of the stars as they begin to appear. A third will raise their head and feel the breeze and the air temperature and then say something about that also. There is a lull in the conversation as we enjoy the moment and consider with gratitude our good fortune to live in a neighborhood with friends of good heart. Friends who know the importance of gathering as the day is transitioning into night and enjoy the beauty of these precious moments.
This in a small way is ceremony wherein there is an honoring of the transition from light to dark. We are moving fully into the time of darkness wherein the heart is in transcendence. The cocoon of sacred night approaches. A blanket of stars is wrapped about us by the Great Mother. The Hand of Her Love guides the Universe, and all is as it should be.

MAY 12, 2018 The Mother's Heart

☁️ ☁️ ☁️
A thousand thousand -
Stars fall from The Mother’s heart,
Falling to the earth.

☁️ ☁️ ☁️
One carries my name
And finds its way to my heart.
Another finds yours.

Sometimes we think we have done something to make us unworthy of The Great Mother’s love. We shroud our hearts in darkness, thinking we are hiding from The Mother. It is impossible to hide. Her Love will always find us. For millennia we may try to hide from Her. We call Her hurtful names to try and make Her turn away from us. Like stubborn hurtful children we say; ‘She is not real’, as if that could make Her disappear. We cross our arms and turn away from the star points of love seeking us. We try to confine Her in a box of constrictive religious dogma, we find untenable, thus giving us an excuse for our turning away. She will not turn away. She will not be contained. She will not be stopped. She is coming for us. She is coming for us now and forever. We are her children. The darkness in which we cloak ourselves will not hide us from Her love. Someday, Her Love will pierce our hearts. Then, changed forever, we will give up and admit we are Her children. We will admit we have always belonged to her. We will admit, that as Her children our nature is like Hers: LOVE.

that will cause God to forsake us.
He will never turn away from us.”
