5 8 2018 Ruminations on a Painting by Rembrandt

Warmed by the light –
The inner stair manifests.
Confines fade away.

Contemplating a painting by Rembrandt:
Some say this painting by Rembrandt depicts a philosopher while others say it is merely a domestic scene. Whatever the original intent of the artist, for me today it represents a portion of the divine feminine and the divine masculine journey.
With the work of feeding the fire of intention and bringing the heat needed to destroy the dross and stoke the engine at the base of the spine (the divine feminine figure on the right kneeling at the fire) and then with inner focused intention bathed in the light of illumination to move up the spine (the divine masculine figure sitting quietly on the left); now working together the spiral ascent may occur.

Ruminating on a spiral strand of DNA and the neuroplasticity of the brain, science and spirit converge.

Ruminiating on The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

🧘🏾🧘🧘🏿
Science and Yoga
Have always been the best friends.
Who woulda’ thunk it?
🧘🏾 🧘 🧘🏿

Just sayin’ - - - -

Any who study and make practical the teachings of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali understand there is no contradiction between being a practitioner of yoga and a scientist.  This continuity is one of the best kept secrets ever.  Except – it is not a secret.  You just may not realize it until you begin the serious practice yoga.

🧘🏾🧘🧘🏿

For any who would like to begin or continue a serious study and practice of yoga, Consider THE SCIENCE OF YOGA -The Yoga-Sutras of Patanjali in Sanskrit with transliteration in Roman, translation and commentary in English. Written by I. K. Taimni.

🧘🏾🧘🧘🏿

Of this translation of the Yoga Sutras by Taimni, Swami/Brother Achalananda (vice-president of the Self Realization Fellowship and Yogoda Satsanga Society of India) speaking during satsanga at the Lake Shrine in Pacific Palisades in California on June 14, 2015 said:

“… the best one I have found.  I had thought there was one error in it – but I was wrong.  I can find no errors in this book.  He must have had some spiritual connection to have written this translation.  This is the one translation of the ‘Yoga Sutras’ that I recommend.”
