God’s trusting kitten.
Facing hot dry canyon winds -
Heart of a lion.

There is a common analogy used to describe our relationship with the Divine One. Here is the analogy:
There are two common kinds of Devotees of the Divine Beloved. There is the sweet little monkey baby, who clings tightly to the Mother’s back as she travels across the land and canopy. Then there is the tiny baby kitten, the little one is totally relaxed and trusting as the mother carries the little one by the scruff of the neck. The little kitten is 100% relaxed and trusting rather than anxious and clinging like the little monkey.

When personal will is surrendered to the Beloved Mother God, the power of the Infinite is given free rein to move through us. This begins with a leap of faith. Then indeed the little kitten can have the heart of the lion. The little bubble can melt into the sea of the infinite.

Seeking to be God’s little kitten.
With gratitude for the light of the Mother’s Love which surrounds, protects and sustains me.

“We can only learn to know ourselves and do what we can - namely, surrender our will and fulfill God's will in us.”
Saint Teresa of Avila

“Give Me Strength This is my prayer to thee, my lord---strike, strike at the root of penury in my heart. Give me the strength lightly to bear my joys and sorrows. Give me the strength to make my love fruitful in service. Give me the strength never to disown the poor or bend my knees before insolent might. Give me the strength to raise my mind high above daily trifles. And give me the strength to surrender my strength to thy will with love.”
Rabindranath Tagore
